Health and fitness has become increasingly difficult to navigate as every website promises you a routine that will “completely transform your body!” Sure, they may if you put in the 3 hours per day they require you to workout or if you workout with maximal effort as they urge you to do. But who has time for 3 hour workouts or wants to feel like they got hit by a bus after every workout? I certainly don’t.

Working out shouldn’t become a chore that you have to sacrifice some other part of your day for. It shouldn’t be so difficult that it leaves you dreading getting out of bed the next day. It also shouldn’t be something you view as “for people who have the time to workout and eat right all day.” Fitness is for everyone. Sure, everyone doesn’t have the same goals or circumstances but that’s what a good coach helps you navigate – creating and helping you through a plan designed for YOU.

Taking the deep dive to learn about the nuances of each topic takes too much time you just don’t have given the many demands put on you.

I am a physician and personal trainer who has been passionate about helping people reach their health goals ever since my own weight loss of nearly 80 pounds! Not only have I gone through medical school understanding what it really means to be healthy, but I also hold one of the highest qualifications a fitness professional can hold – the certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). I am also a firm believer in knowledge through action and have tested numerous routines, diets, and chased various fitness goals. I am an active competitor in powerlifting with an over 700 pound deadlift yet have also completed a marathon; yes, both can be done! I know that fitness means different things to different people and that it is anything but one-dimensional.

That’s why I do so much more than just give you a fitness routine. I work with you to create an overall healthier lifestyle as there’s so much more to fitness than the routine you’re currently doing in the gym. I keep the big picture of what it means to be healthy for the individual as I tailor fitness routines. I understand that the goal of fitness is not to be fit but to allow us to do what we want in the rest of our lives! I get busy schedules. I get stress. I get the importance of various life events. I get that your life doesn’t revolve around the gym. I put you first and make sure I make your overall life better because there’s much more to life than a six-pack!

Customized training routines based on your life

I care about YOUR goals and what YOU want to do with your time. Training is about empowerment and not meant to take over your life. Whether or not you have access to a gym, whatever your comfort level with exercise, I’ll help you construct a routine that works for you and help guide you to resources depending on your needs.

Form guidance and review with video feedback

Lifting and exercise form is important but it’s not everything. I have experience helping others improve their form in a step-wise approach without being overly technical. Based on your videos, I will help you navigate the fine line of improving your lifts and technique while still receiving a proper training stimulus.

1-on-1 feedback with all questions answered

There’s a lot of information out there – some of it good, some bad, and some down-right harmful. Take it from me, I’ve fallen for many if not all of the fitness myths out there and will guide you towards evidence-based strategies that will benefit you without the risk of harm. If you have questions, I either have answers or will do my best to learn and figure out the answer to your question!

Efficient workouts that don't waste your time

No hour-long warmups or unnecessarily long workouts here. I know that life is busy and you don’t have all day to be working out. I create efficient and appropriately dosed workouts designed to get you as many benefits as possible in the least amount of time that will leave you feeling empowered instead of drained and fearing the next session.

Basic nutrition guidance and myth busting

I am not a dietitian and am not formally qualified to give advice on nutrition but I have a relative grasp of the literature and have experienced significant weight loss myself as well as guiding several others in the same direction. The world of nutrition is confusing and I will help you with basic nutrition while guiding you to evidence-based resources and coaches if you require further assistance!

Fitness Consultation

Do you have a fair amount of experience with fitness and just need a little clarity or advice on how you should approach your goals? This is the option for you. In the 60-minute consult I will discuss your past approaches to fitness, goals, current circumstances and schedule before working together to create a fitness plan to reach your goal. I will also make suggestions to what gear you may need and advice on how to overcome obstacles you may face in your path.

Do you have a particular event or shorter term goal you would like to accomplish and not waste time trying to figure out how to do it? The 3 month package is for you! Whether you are getting married and want to look good for your big day, want to work on your summer body before hitting the beach, or want to complete your first 5k or short race, the three month option may be for you!

Month-to-Month Coaching

If you are looking for flexibility but still want some guidance towards your goals, the month-to-month option is for you! This option is perfect for those who may have fluctuating schedules where they are extremely busy for some months with little time for anything other than sleeping while other months are much more relaxed. It also works well for someone who is trying to catch their fitness stride and just needs a little guidance to get started. Check out this option using the button below!

Do you think you need more time to accomplish your goals or do you have larger goals you don’t think you can get done in 3 months? The 6 month package is for you! While every program is customized for your unique circumstances, the 6 month package also allows me to start learning more of your habits and tendencies allowing for adjustments to your program to better suit you!

12 Month Transformation package

The big one, an entire year. This package is the one where you are either chasing a big scary goal that you may have only dreamed of, or are thinking “I want to completely change my lifestyle.” This package is also for you if fitness is already part of your lifestyle and you just want to have someone do all of your programming for you so all you have to do is show up!
